Frequently Asked Questions

Why does Lemosho have a higher success rate than Machame? The extra day and more gradual altitude gain give your body genuinely more time to acclimatise, which is the single biggest factor in summit success on Kilimanjaro.
Is Lemosho more crowded than other routes?Less so, particularly on the first two days, since it starts from the quieter western side of the mountain before joining the busier Machame path higher up.
