These terms and conditions govern your use of https://www.amazinggorillasafaris.com and any safari booking made with Amazing Gorilla Safaris. By using this site or booking a trip with us, you agree to these terms.
Booking and Payment
A booking is confirmed once we have received your signed booking confirmation and any required deposit. Gorilla, chimpanzee and golden monkey trekking permits are booked in your name with the relevant national wildlife authority and are non-transferable once purchased.
Pricing
Quoted prices are based on rates current at the time of quotation. Trekking permit prices are set directly by each country’s wildlife authority and are outside our control; if a permit price changes between quotation and booking, we will notify you before confirming.
Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellation terms vary depending on how close to your travel date you cancel, and whether permits have already been purchased on your behalf, since permit fees are generally non-refundable once paid to the wildlife authority. We will always explain the specific cancellation terms for your itinerary before you book.
Travel Documents and Health Requirements
You are responsible for ensuring you hold a valid passport, any required visas, and any recommended vaccinations for your destination. We are happy to advise, but final responsibility for travel documentation rests with the traveller.
Trekking Conditions
Gorilla and chimpanzee trekking involves genuine physical exertion in variable weather and forest terrain. Sighting rates are high but not guaranteed, and trek duration cannot be predicted in advance. Age minimums (15 years for gorilla and chimpanzee trekking) are set by each country’s wildlife authority and apply without exception.
Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellation, medical evacuation, and activities including trekking, for every traveller on every booking.
Our Responsibility
We act as your booking agent for permits, lodges and transport, and take reasonable care in selecting the operators and properties we work with. We are not responsible for circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to adverse weather, park closures, or changes to wildlife authority regulations.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your booking will apply to that booking.
