A standalone Murchison Falls trip centred on the Nile boat cruise to the base of the falls, where the river forces through a gorge roughly seven metres wide before plunging over a 43-metre drop — the world’s most powerful waterfall by force per unit width — alongside game drives and a Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary stop en route.
Detailed Itinerary
DAY 1
The drive north from Entebbe runs via Kampala’s Northern Bypass and the Kampala-Gulu highway, with a stop partway at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary — Uganda’s only place to see rhinos in the wild, southern white rhinos reintroduced after the species was hunted to local extinction here in the 1980s, tracked on foot with an armed ranger for a genuinely close, controlled encounter. From Ziwa it’s a further stretch north, crossing the Nile at Karuma Bridge to reach Murchison Falls by evening.
