Your driver-guide meets you at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for the drive south-west, dropping off the Rift Valley escarpment near Maai Mahiu with a photo stop at the viewpoint, then on through Narok town before the final stretch onto reserve land. Afternoon game drive on arrival.

Morning game drive before departing for Lake Nakuru, climbing back up onto the Rift Valley floor toward the park’s dedicated rhino sanctuary.

A dedicated morning drive around Nakuru’s fenced sanctuary, home to a genuinely strong population of both black and white rhino, before starting the long drive south toward Amboseli — broken with an overnight near Nairobi rather than pushing straight through in one day.

The remaining drive south runs via Namanga, Kilimanjaro visible well before the park gates on a clear day. Amboseli holds Kenya’s largest and most reliably visible elephant herds, some with tusks long enough to nearly touch the ground; afternoon game drive on arrival.

The drive east to Tsavo West crosses genuinely different terrain — volcanic hills and lava flows rather than Amboseli’s open plains — Kenya’s largest park and home to a dedicated black rhino sanctuary.

A full day across Tsavo West’s volcanic landscape, including a stop at Mzima Springs, where crystal-clear water bubbling up from underground filtered through volcanic rock feeds a pool with an underwater viewing chamber — genuinely one of the more unusual wildlife-watching setups anywhere in Kenya, hippos and crocodiles visible at eye level through glass.
